Laleure-Piot Burgundy Pinot Noir originates mainly from three French departments: Yonne, Côte d’Or and Saône-et-Loire. The Pinot Noir grape variety is the basis of all red Burgundy appellations, from the most modest to the most prestigious. The soil is comprised of argilo-calcaire (clay-limestone). Aging is performed for 10 months in-barrel. Best Paired with roasted or grilled red meats, white meats and poultry in creamed sauce, and mild cheeses.
TASTING NOTES
The palette is led by a ruby red color with garnet reflections, an open and fresh nose with notes of small red fruits on a background of violet, and followed by a frank attack – pleasant, round and supple on the mouth. Final tannins are fine and silky. Serve at 57-59º F.
