The Vineyard is located at Eynesse, on the edge of the Bordeaux wine-growing district and the Gironde department, just 60 kilometres east of Bordeaux. The estate’s 36-hectare vineyards, perched at an altitude of 80 metres, are set upon a rich and diversified terroir, where Merlots and Cabernet Francs are strictly selected and sorted to produce a representative Bordeaux wine. The soils are of clay and limestone upon hilltops, clay and sand silts, and of clay on soft Agen sandstone subsoil. Aging is performed in stainless steel and concrete tanks for periods of 8 to 14 months.
TASTING NOTES
The palette reveals a fruity, rich wine, with a beautiful ruby-red colour. Delicate notes of blackcurrant, blackberry, and cherry are enhanced by a hint of woodiness. The attack is balanced, full-bodied and pleasant. Tannins are silky, with fine aromatic freshness.
